How To Choose Your First Niche: A Step By Step Guide
Step One - Brainstorm: Brainstorm a list (big ass possible) of all of your passions and interests. Don't even think about making money at this point, just focus on getting a list as big as possible.
Step Two - Analyze: Look through your list and pick out 10-20 different interests or passions, that you feel you could promote on the internet. If you think you could make money online with all of them, then pick your favorites. It is easier to market something you enjoy.
Step Three - Adwords Tool: Now that you have 10-20 niche terms, it is time to visit the Google Adwords Tool. Do a search for each of your terms, one at a time. Below the search box will be a table full of data. Take note of the Estimated Cost Per Click (CPC) and Searches Per Month columns. If they are not showing up then just click the little drop-down menu titled Columns and add them.
For each of your terms multiply the CPC by the monthly searches. Write the number you get for each term beside that term. This will give you a very rough idea of the potential worth of your "niches". This number isn't to be taken literally by any means but it has some value when you are trying to sort through what niches you want to attack.
Step Four - Competition: You could take your top result from last step and attack that, OR you could take it one step further and check out your competition. Just do a simple google search on each of your niche terms, one at a time. For niches with multiple words, make sue you wrap it in quotes. Take note of how many websites come up for each term. Write it down beside the numbers you came up earlier.
Now divide the "potential worth" by the number of websites. You will have some fractional number. In general the higher the number, the better it is to choose that term.
This is not an instant niche answer. It might not always work perfectly, but it is a great way to quickly discover a potential niche. Try it out and choose something to market today!
How to Mind Map Your Offer and Craft Your Sales Copy Flow
Mind mapping is a valuable tool when it comes to creativing effective sales copy. While not everyone is familiar with the concept of a mind map, chances are you have seen the approach used to great effect.
Essentially, mind mapping is the presentation of a collection of ideas, concepts, or words that all relate to some type of central understanding. When it comes to applying this approach to the flow of your sales copy, mind mapping can provide some interesting and unique ways to identify benefits of your product that will attract the right consumer market. Here are some ideas of how to use the mind mapping approach.
1.Identify your central understanding. In this case, that would be your product offering. This will serve as the point of destination that all other attributes will map back to. Keeping your product as the central focus will make it harder to drift during the course of identifying elements for your sales copy.
2.Use single word designations to identify the main functions of your products. This broadens on the central theme, but is still vague enough to allow for more investigation.
3.Take it one level deeper. Within the context of those broad themes or ideas, provide examples of how your product benefits work. For instance, if you are selling a carpet cleaner, one broad theme may be the deep foam action. Drilling a little deeper, you can also note the foam lifts dirt easily from both carpet and furniture upholstery.
By mind mapping, you are not only helping yourself to visualize the flow of the text, but also using words to create images for the reader that he or she can easily relate to. Try this method and see what new and different angles you come up with to demonstrate the effectiveness of your product.

Search Engine Optimisation Is Easier Than You Think
Some people think that in order to benefit from search engine optimisation that they need to go to drastic lengths and take a lot of time to learn how to do it. But, the reality is that you can benefit from just a few simple tips and you can use these tips for your articles as well as your blog posts.
The best way to go is to start by building a big keyword list of words and phrases that are closely related to your niche. Ideally, you will want to find keywords that get at least 1,500 searches a month and no more than 20,000 competitors.
Once you have your keyword list built all you need to do is to pick one keyword per article and / or blog post and write a well written article around that keyword. You should then include the keyword in the title of your article or blog post.
Please do not make the mistake of thinking that the more keywords you include the better. That is called keyword stuffing and it will do far more harm than good. The search engines have remarkably sophisticated algorithms that can pick up on this and your article will be penalized if you try.
Instead use the keyword once in your article or blog post title, once in the first paragraph, once in the last paragraph and once or twice throughout the rest of your article. You want the article to read naturally.
Remember, you aren't just trying to attract the search engines, you want to make sure your article makes sense for human readers too, actually this should be your main focus. You don't have to short change your readers just to keep the search engines happy, you can do both.
You want to strive for a keyword density of no more than 3%. Obviously the longer the article the more keywords you can include and still make that 3% goal. I recommend you keep your article and blog posts at about 350 to 500 words in length.
That is the optimum length because it is long enough to allow you to include some useful information without being so long that it turns off any potential readers. If your article is too short it just looks like it is all for the purpose of keyword stuffing and many search engines and article directories don't appreciate that.
On the other hand, internet surfers are notoriously short on attention span, so to get the most out of your articles you can also include bullet points and keep your paragraphs short and to the point. Also, don't make your articles too long, over 500 words, or too short, less than 350 words.
There is a lot more you can do with search engine optimization if you want to invest the time and effort. But, for most people just a little knowledge and keyword placement in your articles or blog posts can really help you get more traffic to your website.
